The GAP workshop was developed to provide Kentucky farmers with knowledge surrounding GAP certification. The USDA GAP certification is required by large commercial markets, and can be a hurdle for small farmers looking to expand their markets. Third-party audits are performed by the Kentucky Department of Agriculture.
